Organisational partners
Membership of the Society is individual. Organisations that want to support it do so as partners.
Organisations that want to support the Society can do so through sponsorship, event partnerships, venue support or commissioned activities.
What partnership does not buy
Financial or in-kind support does not purchase control over the Society's technical positions. Partnership arrangements will be transparent and consistent with the Society's sponsorship and partnership policy.
This matters for a professional body whose value rests on the independence of its technical work. Partners are acknowledged; they do not set the agenda.
Ways to support the Society
- Sponsorship — general support for the Society's programme.
- Event partnership — supporting a seminar, workshop or the inaugural conference.
- Venue support — hosting an in-person event.
- Commissioned activities — work the Society undertakes at an organisation's request, on terms consistent with its independence.
Supporting your people
Many organisations support their staff's professional development directly, by meeting the cost of individual memberships and by making time available for the Society's programme. Members join in their own right, which is what allows them to take part in professional discussion without every contribution being read as their employer's position.
